Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U characters:: New 'secret' characters unveiled by Nintendo

With just a month left to wait for Wii U users who are excited to get their hands on the upcoming release of "Super Smash Bros. 4," Nintendo recently unveiled a teaser of the secret characters that will be featured in the gaming console edition.

The mystery characters are exclusively featured for the "Super Smash Bros. 4" Wii U edition, which means that those who have already purchased the game's Nintendo 3DS edition will not be able to find it in their handheld console.

Here is the list of the five secret characters for Super Smash Bros. Wii U edition:

Ness

Ness is the lead character in the widely popular EarthBound role-playing game. He is the only character from the Mother and EarthBound franchise that had been featured in the Super Smash Bros. series.

In the upcoming "Super Smash Bros. 4," Ness will have an improved appearance as well as a new voice.

Falco

Also known as Falco Lombardi, this character hails from the Star Fox series. Known for his arrogant personality, Falco had been with Fox McCloud as one of the series' main characters and he is believed to be the best pilot in the team.

Falco's appearance in "Super Smash Bros. 4" will be based on his looks from the Star Fox Command game.

Wario

One of the villains in the Mario series, Wario was reported to be one of the unlockable characters in the upcoming "Super Smash Bros. 4" for Wii U.

In the new installment of the Super Smash Bros. series, Wario's color scheme remains unchanged except for the green "M" on his cap instead of the usual blue color.

Dr. Mario

This character is noticeably absent from the previous Brawl game, but fans will see the return of Dr. Mario as an unlockable character in the "Super Smash Bros. 4" next month.

The lab coat-wearing Mario character's looks will remain the same in the upcoming installment of the Smash Bros. franchise.

Dark Pit

The character from Kid Icarus series will be featured as a playable unlockable character for the "Super Smash Bros. 4" game. He is the archenemy of Pit in his original series.

In the upcoming Super Smash game, Dark Pit will only work as Pit's clone.

"Super Smash Bros. 4" Wii U edition will be released by Nintendo on Nov. 21, 2014.The handheld 3DS edition, on the other hand, became available last Oct. 3.
