Sons of Anarchy season 7 spoilers: Series to conclude with bloody bang?

With the series coming to a close, should the fans expect a more bloody ending?Instagram

For its first six seasons, Sons of Anarchy had been stunning fans with its jolting scenes since it started airing in 2008. But will the seventh and last season of the hit television series from FX continue to make the viewers' jaw drop until the very end?

SoA creator Kurt Sutter shed light on some of the questions bugging the fans of the series since the end of season 6 in an interview published on TV Guide.

For those who missed the gruesome final episode last season, Tara (Maggie Siff) was brutally murdered by her mother-in-law Gemma (Katey Sagal) with the help of a carving fork. Fans are expecting to find a more cringe-worthy scene at the beginning of Season 7.

However, Sutter already said that it will not be possible to top that scene in the upcoming episodes, and he has no plans to.

"I don't think anything we've ever done has been inorganic [or] unbelievable in terms of heightened circumstances and the players involved," Sutter answered after being asked about the high violent content of the show. "It's not that my goal is to disturb people, but I want that reaction when beloved characters go away. I want people to be upset. When Opie was killed, people [expletive] hated me. They didn't stop watching, but they were upset -- they had lost a friend. That to me means you're writing characters that are relatable, believable and people want to show up for each week. Which means, quite frankly, I'm doing my job," he added.

So what should the fans look forward to in Season 7 if it will not be as ghastly as season 6? Based on insider reports, even Sutter has no idea. He said that though he knows how he wants the series to end, he realized that "the looser I grip that idea, the better the seasons are."

While the creator gave a slightest hint of what fans should expect the series to end, lead star Charlie Hunnam, who is known for playing the role of Jax, provided more.

"Jax is in a very schizophrenic state," the actor announced during an interview with the Television Critics Association. "He's obviously very sad and vulnerable and broken with this huge amount of revenge and anger in his heart."

Fans will also see Gemma's struggle to keep her secret about viciously slaying Tara.

"She is somewhat duplicitous at this point -- not even somewhat," Katey Sagal mentioned. "What's coming out of her mouth and what's going on in her brain are two different things. She has adjusted to the situation based on her basic instinct, which is to survive and keep her family together. That hasn't changed."
