Members of the public are being invited to send in their birthday wishes to renowned evangelist Billy Graham, who turns 90 on November 7.
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association announced on Friday that it is gathering personal stories and birthday wishes for the evangelist, who has taken preached the good news of God's love to nearly 215 million people over the last 60 years.
"My father is a humble man who would never expect to be honoured and recognised like this on his birthday," said Franklin Graham, BGEA president and CEO and Graham's eldest son.
"We urge all who made a commitment to Jesus Christ through my father's ministry to share your story or simple greeting, as nothing could uplift him more on this special day."
Although Billy Graham has retired from public ministry, his impact on world Christianity continues to be felt. Sons Franklin and Will follow in their father's footsteps with regular large- scale festivals.
Other BGEA projects include Dare to Be a Daniel, a youth evangelism training project, the My Hope World Evangelism Through Television project, and the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team of crisis-trained chaplains.
A special website has been launched for visitors to leave their greetings until November 1. The website also includes resources for churches and ministries.

Dear Billy, My husband Ward & I want to wish you a very happy birthday. You may not remember us but we will never forget you .You were in phildelphia in the late 50s or early 60s and we went to see you. When we went home (our home was in chambersburg pa at that time) I said to my husband that I almost went down front because I felt called to Jesus and so the very next night we went back and we both went down front and gave our life to Christ. Thank you Billy we will never forget that night and we are both in our 80s and we believe in Christ and will be coming to your retreat in April God willing. Happy Birthday and we know you will live in peoples hearts forever and you will receive many crowns when you go to your Heavenly home. Yours in Christ, Ward & Madeline Monn

Mr. Graham, It's a great Honer to have known a Godly man and woman as you and mrs.Graham. My only misfortune is that I didn't get to meet you in person. I know one day in Heaven I will get to. While sitting at my job in 1995, I did come very close to seeing you in person. That year you came to Charlotte N.C. and I prayed to God to let me be able to come and see you, of course I was suppose to work that night, and when I went into to work, I begged anyone to go with me to show me the way, finally a friend that worked the shift before me said she would go with me, I was on cloud nine by this time. I told everyone that I would return later to finish my job, that I was going to see BILLY GRAHAM! We get there and my heart was broken , just as we were about to get to the door to go in, they said there were no seats left and that we would have have to watch on a big screen, well that was ok. I just couldn't believe I was so close to seeing you, and didn't get to. Anyway I enjoyed it so much and did go down and talked to your staff. Mr. Graham, I just want to wish you the best birthday, and know that I can hardly wait until the day comes when I will finally get to meet you and Ruth face to face. LOVE IN CHRIST, Barbara Lynn
