Operation Mobilisation (OM) has released the latest edition of its short-term mission brochure, Go4It, detailing nearly a hundred options for healthy over 18s throughout 2009.
OM, a major mission group since its founding 40 years ago, has sent nearly 400 British Christians on outreach in the last three years.
The latest Go4It covers outreaches lasting one week to six months in the UK, Europe and the wider world.
Christians looking for an opportunity to spread the Word and strengthen their own faith can take part in a wide range of outreaches, from leading children's camps in East Europe, to community outreach in London, or even hiking to remote Chilean villagers to distribute Christian literature.
OM short-term missionaries take part in a training and orientation period before heading out to their mission field, where they are able to learn skills that can help them in reaching out to others for Christ when they return back home.
One OM missionary who went to Nepal in 2007 reflected: "I was challenged daily but grew so much through it and gained confidence in doing God's work that I hadn't had before. It was the most amazing three months of my life."
She remains in touch with the other members of the international outreach team she worked with during her stay.
