Newsboys present Newsboys: Live - Houston We Are Go

These days they don't get much bigger than Newsboys. Four Grammy nominations, 23 Dove Awards, a truckload of albums released and more live shows with bigger crowds than you can imagine.
Over two decades the band have shifted from curious Aussie export to international spectacle and cheerleaders for a generation. Theirs is an open party, a faith-directed compass that mixes worship with altar calls, spoken testimony with high-end electro-pop that works up a sweat within the opening bars.
And now - finally - all that live-show energy, faith and passion has been collected, bottled and preserved on one live CD and DVD.
'Houston We Are Go' was recorded in the spring of 2007 while the band were on their
international 'GO' tour. Drawing record crowds, the tour raised the bar on entertainment - as the DVD tour highlights shows - yet did nothing to water down the message.
If anything, the gospel was preached with even more clarity and passion. The album starts with 'Shine' - in all its Moby-esque wonder. Working through old and new
classics like 'Wherever We Go', 'Something Beautiful', 'He Reigns' and 'It's You', Newsboys do what they do best; pump it up with high beats, eternal optimism and the hope of a better tomorrow.

I have loved the Newsboys since Shine, so took my 19 yr. old son Lazarus to the Tulsa Fair show, and it was OVERRRR the top! Then, they said goodby and left the stage, thennn came back, and LO and beHOLD, the drummer's entire circular platform went up into the air on a hydraulic lift and started to spin, while the drummer was still drumming like a maniac, and thenn, the lead singer started playing the drums at the end of a raised platform in the crowd and HIS drumset went up on a hydraulic lift, while drumming and it blew my MIND! I heard a drum solo at a concert with Billy Joel and Elton JOhn under the stars at a stadium in IA, but the Newsboys topped that, and thennn, the lead singer started to preach, and even his preaching was astounding and I hope every Christian gets to see this phenommmmmenal group! The Article One violin player was a hoot also. I have put the Newsboys on my daily prayer list and pray they get everywhere with the Gospel and SHINE... Godspeed, karen

I was at the show at the fresno fair, i took my 9 yr. old daughter and praise the lord she sang every song! It was the best thing that I could ever hope for! and please if there is anyone reading this please pray for my daughter Sydney she's been through things that a little girl should'nt have to go through. thanks and god bless !
