A second Kombat Pack could soon be announced for the top-selling fighting game "Mortal Kombat X."

Ever since the last character from the first Kombat Pack was released in the form of Tremor, fans have been speculating that a second downloadable (DLC) package will soon be on the way.

To this point, "Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon has basically offered little in the way of confirming or denying a Kombat Pack 2, but he may have just provided his most resounding indication that a second one is indeed in the works.

After the release of a YouTube video from "Mortal Kombat" fan Maximilian Dood in which he offers his thoughts on what could be inside Kombat Pack 2, Boon seemingly gave a knowing wink to "Mortal Kombat" fans by actually tweeting out a link to the video through his personal account, according to Design and Trend.

It's worth noting that Boon did not exactly say that a second Kombat Pack was indeed in the works, although many fans are reading a lot into the tweet.

As for which characters may be introduced in a potential Kombat Pack 2, the aforementioned video mentions several characters including ones already in the game who are non-playable. The list includes Baraka, Rain, and Sindel. Smoke is yet another non-player character (NPC) currently in "Mortal Kombat X" who may end up as part of the active roster.

According to Yibada, the infamous anti-hero Spawn may also be making an appearance in "Mortal Kombat X" as a playable guest character similar to Jason Voorhees.

As of now, "Mortal Kombat" fans will likely continue to speculate about whether or not a second Kombat Pack is coming unless Boon either confirms or denies its existence once and for all.

"Mortal Kombat X" is currently available for personal computer (PC), PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One.
