'Jesus way': Seahawks' Russell Wilson, Ciara practice abstinence before marriage

Ciara and her boyfriend Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson are admittedly practicing abstinence when it comes to sex, with the football player saying he hopes he would be able to rub off the "Jesus way" on his popular musician girlfriend.

During a recent interview with San Diego pastor Miles McPherson at the Rock Church, Wilson said God instructed him to lead Ciara down the right path and not have sex before marriage.

"She was on tour, she was travelling, and I was looking at her in the mirror. I was sitting in the dressing room, and she was getting ready to go, about 15 minutes before she went on stage. And she was sitting there, and God spoke to me and said, 'I need you to lead her.' And I was like, 'Really? Right now?'" he shared.

When he proposed this idea to Ciara, she was actually quite eager to take the challenge on. "I told her, 'What would you do if we took all that "extra stuff" off the table, and just did it Jesus' way?'" he said. Much to his delight, the 29-year-old singer "completely agreed" with his proposal, although Wilson admitted that it's not easy refraining from sex.

"I ain't gonna lie to y'all now," Wilson said. "I need you to pray for us. I know y'all have seen her on the screen. If there's a 10, she's a 15."

Wilson was actually married before, while Ciara has a one-month-old son named Future with her ex-fiancé, also named Future. "I was married before. That didn't work out unfortunately," Wilson revealed.

Even though the two suffered from failed relationships in the past, Wilson is quite optimistic about his future with Ciara, whom he described as "the most beautiful woman in the world. She's the most kind person, the most engaging person. I could probably learn more from her... everything that I could ever want."
