Are fans going to see an "Iron Man 4" movie in the near future?

Robert Downey Jr. teased his Twitter followers by posting a photo with a caption that says he will make a big revelation soon.

RDJ posted this picture to alert fans that he will announce a little something soon:

Naturally, Marvel fans have begun speculating that RDJ might be referring to a piece of news that has something to do with the actor's much loved character, Iron Man. The series had reached its third installment, yet action sci-fi movie enthusiasts still can't get enough of Tony Stark and his awesome iron-clad counterpart.

This speculation came after fans recognized the familiar shirt that RDJ was wearing underneath the blue suit. If it will be given a closer look, it seems like the same Black Sabbath shirt that he wore in one of the scenes in "The Avengers."

It could only mean that RDJ will be reprising his role as Iron Man once more. However, it was not clear whether it is for another Avengers film or for the highly-expected "Iron Man 4" movie.

But when the actor updated his Twitter today, the earlier post is for the release of the second trailer for "The Judge," RDJ's latest passion project.

There are no concrete details about the development for the fourth installment of "Iron Man." Yet there are a lot of speculations about it, including a younger replacement for RDJ, who will be turning 50 years old next year. But according to reports, the actor is not keen on passing the iron suit just yet.

Even the film directors of some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe installments still want to see RDJ play his iconic role as Tony Stark.

"He is Iron Man. He is Iron Man in the way that Sean Connery was James Bond. I have no intention of making Avengers 2 without him, nor do I think I'll be called upon to do that," Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon said in an interview last year.

On the other hand, Iron Man franchise director was heard saying, "I hope he continues doing it, and as long as he fits in that suit, there's no reason he shouldn't."

At the moment, the development for "Iron Man 4" is still waiting a confirmation from Marvel Studios.
