iPod Touch 6th Gen coming with iPhone features?

Despite heavy criticism, Apple is expected to unveil an iPod Touch 6th Generation this coming Fall.

Critics had initially believed that the iPod Touch 5 was to be the last of Apple's famed media device, seeing that most of its features have been rendered a repetition of what the iPhone already has to offer. So if that were the case, what is the use of creating another version when consumer acceptance could result in a disappointing device that could end up in the red?

One thing that the iPod Touch 5 failed to come up with was features. When it came into the market, it was apparent that many were disappointed with the minimal perks that the iPod touch 5G carried. Despite that, the iPod Touch 5G was still able to get some customers, mostly the music loving kind.

The story stands to be different with the iPod Touch 6G. Aside from being water-resistant and something which will carry Siri, a lot of other stuff are reportedly in store for the ones looking forward to its coming in September.

Among the other features that the iPod 6G will have to offer include Apple Pay, something powered by an A9 microprocessor and will come in two Retina-display variants (4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions). It is expected to come with an 8MP main camera and a 1.5MP front-facing camera.

The iPod Touch 6G will come with iOS 9 out of the box and will be available in six different colors (silver, pink, red, blue, space gray and yellow).

With regards to pricing, rumors believe that the iPod Touch 6G could play somewhere along the lines of $299 to $399, something that could vary on the storage capacity (32GB or 64GB).

Sans the ability to make actual calls or send messages, the iPod Touch 6G seems pretty much like the iPhone 6. Would those ton of features entice folks to get one of these iPod Touch devices?
