Organisers are putting the finishing touches to a charity concert in London on Sunday to honour Princess Diana 10 years after she died in a car crash.

Princess Diana's 'fun-loving and unpretentious spirit' is expected to be brought back to life at the star-studded concert that will serve as a posthumous birthday bash and tribute from her sons.

The 'Concert for Diana' will feature top British stars such as Joss Stone, Take That, and Rod Stewart.

The Leprosy Mission, an international Christian organisation, will benefit from some of the proceeds from the Concert for Diana, organised by Princes William and Harry to celebrate their mother's life.

From 1990 until her death in 1997, Princess Diana was Patron of The Leprosy Mission. Recognising that the stigma associated with leprosy was ill-founded, she tried to dispel the myths surrounding the disease by visiting hospitals and touching patients.

Representatives from the charities with which Princess Diana was associated will be invited to a memorial service to be held in London on 31 August.

The Concert for Diana, which also commemorates what would have been the late Princess Diana's 46th birthday, will take place at Wembley Stadium on 1 July 2007.

Prince William said, "We (himself and Prince Harry) both wanted to put our stamp on it. We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted. So therefore the church service alone isn't enough. We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness, which I know she would have wanted."
