"Fargo" is all set for its second season and everyone's excited about the return of the TV series based on a movie of the same name.

When it comes to TV adaptations, "Fargo" is one among those that are very well received by audiences, and how it became a success was shared to the public by series creator Noah Hawley.

Speaking during the Television Critics Association in August, the creator discussed about how the story was reinvented and how it will be different from the previous season, Variety reported.

Hawley went on to explain that the story underwent a complete transformation, but fans will still see some familiar things within the story.

"Fargo" will not only go through changes in its story and cast but also in its style, the report stated.

For season 2, fans will be taken back to the 1979 time of the movie, which will give focus on Lou Solverson's (Keith Carradine) character.

For the most part of the season, viewers will be left wondering why the police officer had chosen to retire to become the diner owner whom everyone met.

Patrick Wilson steps in for season 2 and he will take on the role of a younger Solverson, who, together with his partner Hank (Ted Danson) will investigate a case of shooting that took place at the Sioux Falls diner.

Meanwhile, FX has already released stills from season 2's first episode, fueling the audience's excitement and giving them a little bit of hint on what to expect from the TV series.

Based on the promo stills, several famous Hollywood faces have been spotted, including Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons.

Both actors will be playing as a married couple in season 2, as previously reported in Deadline.

Apart from Dunst, Plemons, Danson and Wilson, "Burn Notice's" Jeffrey Donovan, Nick Offerman, Jean Smart and Kieran Culkin will be joining the series.

Catch the season 2 premiere of "Fargo" on Monday, Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
