Benny Hinn released from hospital: 'I have seen the hand of God at work'.

Televangelist Benny Hinn has praised God for his swift recovery after he was admitted to hospital last week with heart problems.

Hinn, 63, was admitted last week with atrial-fibillation, a relatively common heart problem that results in an irregular and often unusually fast heart rate.

Hinn praised God and the doctors for his care.

"I've seen the hand of God at work, both through prayer and the physicians," he said. "God is faithful. My heart is strong. I have no heart damage. My arteries are not blocked. There is no arterial damage."

"The AFib is being treated effectively, and my rapid heart rate has reduced considerably," he added. "I'm feeling stronger every day. The prognosis is good for a speedy and complete recuperation, and I'm so glad to be heading home to continue my road to recovery."

Hinn said he'd received messages of support and prayers from around the world.

"I've been literally overwhelmed with all the outpouring of love from around the globe," he said. "Shortly after I arrived at the center, dear friends such as Reinhard Bonnke and Kenneth Copeland flew here to pray over me. As the news spread, leaders such as Dr Pat Robertson, Morris Cerullo, Tommy Barnett, Jack Hayford, Jan Crouch, Rod Parsley, Pastors Dennis and Eunice John, and Steve Munsey sent and phoned such warm greetings and kind words."

Hinn was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Orange County, California after suffering shortness of breath.

His daughter, Jessica Hinn-Koulianos, said in letter to supporters on the Benny Hinn Ministries website, that he had been ministering to more than 100,000 in Brazil and had felt tired on his return.

"For those of you who know my Dad, you know that he never stops; so when he spent over a week in bed, we knew something was wrong," she said, adding that she visited her father and he had then been to see a doctor.

After he was admitted to hospital he was treated for a lack of oxygen in his cardiovascular system and experienced "almost immediate relief".

Hinn is regarded by some as a controversial figure for preaching a prosperity message, and for his style of ministry at large-scale 'miracle crusades' held around the world.
