This January and February, the American cable channel NBC will be airing an enlightening Program special titled ‘The Changing Face of Worship’. The unique documentary is a co-operative effort between the Southern Baptist Communication Group, the National Council of Churches, The Jewish Theological Seminary, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The hour-long special will examine the challenge Christianity faces in attracting the MTV generation to the Church of the 21st Century and features Grammy Award Winner, Rebecca St James. The Singers narrative introduces viewers to the contemporary experience of corporate worship, with emphasis on the new generation of Christianity through Film, Dance, Rock music, Poetry Painting and Sculpture.

St. James reflects, "My best definition of 'worship' is our unified response to God's love for us. It's that sense of ‘living in the celebration’, the fact that I get to have a relationship with the Creator of the world. Just like prayer, Worship shouldn't be reserved for one or two days a week. It should be a constant part of our lives."

At 27, the brilliant artist St. James has been an influential cutting edge in the "praise and worship" movement that has swept throughout the world over the past several years. With international sales of her music in the multi-millions, her creative involvement in NBC's "The Changing Face of Worship" is a natural extension of her personal interest in keeping God as the centre of her own life.

Throughout December and January "The Changing Face of Worship" will air as special programming on American NBC Channels, stations and affiliates, with additional airings on the FamilyNet channels.
