A church in Wales is to receive £200,000 to restore an ageing tower which is home to bells described as one of the "seven wonders of Wales" by an unknown 18th century poet.
The acclaimed church bells of All Saints Church in Gresford are still fully operational but the tower itself has fallen into disrepair.
Parish priest, Canon Tudor Hughes, told the BBC, "The bells have always been ringing as normal. But the tower has been suffering from the effects of age and erosion. It's wear and tear.
"It's a case of replacing damaged stonework and re-pointing, and we're very grateful to have received generous funding from various sources."
Work on the tower is to start later in the summer and will be funded by Lottery money, the Waste Recycling Group and Cadw, the Welsh Assembly's historic environment body.
