The question on whether Abraham "Abe" Kenyatta (Nonso Anozie) is dead or not after the lion attack will be revealed on the newest episode of CBS' drama series "Zoo."

Spoiler TV reports that Jackson Oz's (James Wolk) best friend will live another day to tell his horrific tale after being mauled by five male lions also responsible for the death of his cousin and several tourists. In the premiere episode of the show, the zoologist and his partner found a camcorder at a campsite showing the inhabitants screaming and running for their lives. Upon investigation, they found a stranded tour bus with bloodstained windows.

Abe was presumably butchered when a large lion entered the bus behind him. Oz soon discovered that the lions were apparently killing for the sake of the hunt, and not to feed. After informing the warden of their predicament, Oz warned him to close down all safari camps in the valley.

Meanwhile, Jamie Campbell (Kirsten Connolly) and Mitch Morgan (Billy Burke) continue to investigate the link between the Los Angeles Zoo and a chemical from a biotechnological company. They will also witness for themselves the strange behaviors of the cats they just found lounging on a tree.

Chloe Tousignant (Nora Arnezeder), the lone survivor of the tour bus tragedy in the safari, is set to return to Paris. She will soon be back to her work as a government intelligence analyst while still recovering from her traumatic experience. Oz goes to say goodbye and before the Frenchwoman can give him her number, they will be interrupted by Abe.

In an interview with Variety last month, co-executive producer, Scott Rosenberg, shared plans of making the show so realistic that the audience would want to sleep with the lights on after watching "Zoo."

"In July, when mom, dad, Buddy and sis are sitting on the couch and they just finished watching Episode Five of 'Zoo' and the dog is sitting over there, Skippy the Spaniel. ... We want the whole world to fear their Schnauzer. Then [we can say that] we've done our job right," he said.

"Fight or Flight" will air at 9 p.m. Tuesday on CBS.
