WWE rumors 2015: Is Rey Mysterio following Alberto Del Rio's lead? [VIDEO]

To this day, many are still left puzzled as to why Alberto Del Rio suddenly agreed to return to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) despite a colorful past that includes a racist rant involving him and a former WWE employee.

Of course, that has long passed and apparently, with his success in the AAA and Lucha Underground, only a good deal could woo him back into the WWE fold. Apparently, the WWE and Del Rio hacked out a deal leading to WWE Hell in a Cell and just like that, Del Rio is back and wearing the U.S. title.

So with that said, it seems that money still talks even if one seems to have it made outside the WWE circle. Could Rey Mysterio consider such if something similar comes his way?

Mysterio left the WWE in April 2014, although his exit was not similar to Del Rio's. As Mysterio puts it, it was all about spending more time with his family but no bad blood was present when he decided to pack up his bags.

Like Del Rio, Mysterio has been doing great outside the WWE scene, although this does not mean he has closed the idea of possibly returning to the WWE at some point. In fact, he has no ill feelings for the WWE, which should make a possible return by the high-flying Mysterio more realistic.

"Never say never," he said to talkSPORT, adding "I didn't leave on bad terms. There was no dispute or bad intention on me leaving. So, if there is an opportunity down the road and both parties agree to it, why not."

With the WWE continuously working to build on its Hispanic niche, Mysterio could be next in line and pretty much fit to build up that category.

But for that to happen, making it a reality could be the same case as in Del Rio's. Offer him more money with a more manageable schedule and he will likely bite as well.
