'WWE 2K16' sequel may feature commentator Jim Ross

"WWE 2K16" is only a good half year away but 2K Sports has not yet given a lot of information about the game, presumably in order to focus more on the DLC content for the current title, "WWE 2K15." However, a new report from Attack of the Fanboy indicates that the new title may see some new improvements, including the addition of Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross.

A post in Ross' blog reads, "In talks with 2K Sports to do some work on their next video game for WWE. Love the process and from what I'm told the new game will be extremely provocative and certainly has my attention already. Stay tuned."

This would be a welcome addition for many fans who have grown tired of hearing the same quips from commentators Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler. With the introduction of a new commentator, fans may hope for 2K Sports to add Booker T and JBL, both of whom had served as show commentators as well as professional ring-side wrestlers.

2K Sports has not yet given an official word regarding Ross' involvement.

WhatCulture has also compiled some details surrounding the game, one of which is the inclusion of fledgeling wrestling divas Sasha Banks and Rosa Mendes. The post also states the "WWE 2K16" will introduce a new weapon system where specific body parts are targeted.

The site also hints at the possibility of a PC port and the return of several features that "WWE 2K15" discarded due to its rushed schedule for release. A new layer to the stamina system may be implemented as well, where a wrestler would show fatigue while trying to pull off difficult maneuvers.

"WWE 2K16" is not expected to hit shelves until October, but while waiting, fans can avail of the recently announced "WWE 2K Mobile." The mobile app can be purchased for $7.99 for both iOS and Android devices.
