Microsoft is now planning what looks to be a worldwide celebration for the launch of the Windows 10 operating system.

The company has plans of hosting fan celebrations in 13 different cities all over the world. These 13 cities will include Beijing, Berlin, Dubai, Johannesburg, London, Madrid, Nairobi, New Delhi, New York City, Sao Paolo, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo.

Microsoft said these celebrations will include hands-on opportunities as well as demos for those attending. The company is also looking forward to using the events as a way to thank their over five million Windows Insiders, according to ZD Net.

Aside from the 13 different cities, Microsoft is also planning on holding smaller-scale celebrations in more than 110 stores spread out across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

Microsoft has also announced their intention to make a $10 million cash investment into 10 global and 100 additional local non-profit organizations, according to PC Magazine.

Apart from celebrations, Microsoft will also spend July 29 helping their users get upgraded. The company has already partnered up with several big-name brands to help streamline the data migration and upgrading processes. Some of the companies that Microsoft will be working with include Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Staples, and several others.

Users who are looking to upgrade but may be having difficulty with the procedure may also visit Microsoft Stores for some help. Prizes and other giveaways will also be handed out at Microsoft Stores on July 29.

Most Windows users will be eligible to receive the Windows 10 upgrade once it is officially released, although some are saying that most folks will have to wait a bit longer than July 29 for their new software.

According to PC World, there might not even be PCs equipped with Windows 10 available to be purchased on that day.

People who want to get their hands on the new operating system as soon as possible may find that the best way to do so is to purchase a new PC with the Windows 8.1 OS already on it and then just upgrade it to Windows 10 right in the store.
