The truth about "Wayward Pines" will finally be revealed to its residents courtesy of Ethan (Matt Dillon) in the all-new episode of Fox's mystery drama, Hollywood Hills reports.
The U.S. Secret Service agent will think that the time is ripe for his fellow citizens to know about the world they are living in and the things that have changed from the world they used to know. How they will react once they know the story surrounding their little town is anybody's guess, but hopefully, it would not be like how Group A did when Dr. Pilcher (Toby Jones) revealed the truth.
If viewers would remember the past episodes, those who were previously oriented by the town's founding father were unable to handle the truth. They all perished, either by suicide, violent anarchy or by escaping and falling victim to the Abbies.
Meanwhile, Ethan will interrogate Harold (Reed Diamond) about the other insurgents who have gone off the grid after Kate's (Carla Gugino) husband attempt to break past the fence surrounding Wayward Pines. Ethan wants to know their group's plans on destroying the rest of the fence, which has kept the residents safe from Abbies all this time. Last week, viewers also saw that Eric's (Giacomo Baessato) truck left a gaping hole in the protective barriers, keeping everyone in suspense whether the man-eating Abbies will eventually get inside the town.
Meanwhile, Amy's (Sarah Jeffery) health will take a turn for the worse. Seemingly the least affected in the bomb explosion inside the truck, Ben's (Charlie Tahan) girlfriend will soon find out that she has not really escaped unscathed from the blast. Ben, for his part, will be advised by his teacher, Megan Fisher (Hope Davis) to speak publicly about the current events affecting Wayward Pines.
Episode 9 will also see Nurse Pam (Melissa Leo) encouraging Theresa (Shannyn Sossamon) to investigate Plot 33. Fans are still waiting on an explanation for the mysterious piece of land Ethan's wife discovered in episode 7. Whether the forbidden area really contains a way out of town, as the International Business Times predicts, is for the viewers to find out in the upcoming episode.
"A Reckoning" airs on Thursday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
