The scoring backcourt of the Washington Wizards will be without guard Bradley Beal who is likely out for two weeks due to what the team stated in its release "the beginnings of a stress reaction in his lower right fibula."

Beal already missed the Wizards' games versus the New Orleans Pelicans Friday, which ended in a 107–105 loss and the 114–111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks last Saturday.

According to ESPN, Beal had a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) together with tests last Friday and will be re-evaluated after one week.

In the report, Wizards head coach Randy Wittman said regarding Beal's condition, "It's part of the game. He's been through it. We know the protocol, what needs to take place. We've got to sustain without him."

It will be a tough test for the Wizards to play without Beal who has proven to be an efficient scorer and ball distributor in the past few seasons.

Washington, despite having the backcourt tandem of Beal and All-Star point guard John Wall, is struggling this season and has fell to teams like the Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers, who are dwelling at the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

For two weeks, the Wizards will be missing 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game as these are Beal's averages this season.

If the former Florida Gator will really need two weeks for the injury, he will be missing their games versus the Memphis Grizzlies (Dec. 14) and San Antonio Spurs (Dec. 16) on the road.

Together with a three-game home stand against the Charlotte Hornets (Dec. 19), Sacramento Kings (Dec. 21), and a rematch with the Grizzlies (Dec. 23).

If the two-week period will be followed and Beal recovers from the injury within that time frame, he may return on Dec. 26 when they head to the Barclays Center to play the against Brooklyn Nets.
