Durability is a priority for the new Turing Phone, and it aims to be the most durable phone on the market by utilizing a new liquid metal frame.

In an interview with The Verge, Turing Robotics Industries CEO S.Y.L. Chao spoke of what gives the Turing Phone its remarkably durable qualities.

Chao first points to the phone's material composition. The phone is using a new material known as liquidmorphium for its frame and chrome exterior. Not much is known about liquidmorphium, but Chao is definitely making a point of saying how this unheralded material has enabled them to construct a particularly strong and durable Turing Phone. He claims that liquidmorphium has properties that allow it to be stronger than either steel or titanium, which would certainly help its durability if proven to be true. On top of that, Chao also said that liquidmorphium cannot be bent.

Apart from its durable qualities, the liquidmorphium used in the Turing Phone also enables it to have a look that is different that of other devices in the market, according to Chao. He said that using liquidmorphium for the Turing Phone has allowed it to achieve an appearance similar to that of a skyscraper. The reflective quality of liquidmorphium is also unique, varying even from the reflective qualities of aluminum and stainless steel, according to Venture Beat.

With its liquid metal composition, the Turing Phone's appearance stands out among the available smartphones in the market. The Turing Phone does not have either a headphone jack or a USB connector, adding more to its unique qualities.

The Turing Phone is also the first device to feature a shell completely made out of liquid metal, or in this case, liquidmorphium. Other devices such as the iPhone 6 have used a bit of liquid metal in its composition, but the material was far from being featured.

Whether or not the unique makeup of the Turing Phone makes it better is now the question consumers and perspective owners will have to answer for themselves.
