'Thor 3' movie plot and release date rumors

Since the scheduled release of "Avengers 2: Age of Ultron" is drawing nearer, fans of the Marvel Universe are starting to speculate on what the comics creator is brewing for the rest of the superhero characters.  For instance, some are speculating that the big screen will feature a darker Marvel Universe as Thor deals with the Ragnarok.

Since the first two installments of the "Thor" movie franchise were big successes in the box-office, there is a big possibility that Thor will be back to face his most epic battle yet during the dark period in Asgard.

Chris Hemsworth, who plays the God of Thunder, is aware of where Thor's future is heading. During one of the interviews back when the star was still promoting "Thor: The Dark World," he said, "I think that in the comic book the sort of end of days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in. Where it's sort of the end of all things and there's obviously no script or anything when I read the comic books I thought it was an interesting way to go."

In the comic books, the said Armageddon is referred to as the Ragnarok or the End of Days. Most readers view it as a very dark and complicated plot which deals with Loki's collaboration with the Fire God Suture to form an army, and the time when Thor's hammer Mjolnir is destroyed as he fights with Sutur and his brother. This is also the period when Thor rips Loki's head literally during a battle.

MoviePilot also mentions that "Thor 3" could possibly be the last time that Chris Hemsworth will be seen as the God of Thunder.  If the mag proves correct, then Thor would manage to stop the Ragnarok from happening but will mortally damage himself by cutting the fabric of time.

Though none of these had been confirmed by Marvel, it is safe to assume that "Thor 3" will be one of the unannounced Marvel movies scheduled for either May 6, 2016, July 8, 2016, or May 5, 2017.
