"The Vampire Diaries" stars Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin were recently spotted on a romantic dinner date a mere month after it was announced that the couple split up after being together for four years.

According to MailOnline, the two had dinner at the Madeo restaurant in West Hollywood. They left the restaurant soon after finishing their meal. The rumors of their reconciliation further strengthened when Tonkin posted a solo photo of Wesley on her Instagram account with the caption "Resting life dilemma face."

According to an unnamed source who spoke with E! News, the split happened because the "relationship just ran its course." However, Us Weekly reported that the two have remained friends even after their breakup. Prior to their date at the Madeo restaurant, they were also spotted going together to the Farmer's Market in Los Angeles on March 29. Neither of the two has given a statement if they have gotten back together or if they are just friends.

Prior to these events, Wesley was rumored to be dating "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Nina Dobrev. In fact, it is speculated that she returned to the show, which she left after its sixth season, because of the actor.

Dobrev has since been linked to "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor Orlando Bloom, who also recently broke up with pop singer Katy Perry. The two were spotted together during the Coachella Neon Festival.

An unnamed source said to People that the two are hanging out romantically, saying that they're "more than friends," although the relationship is "super casual." However, the publication also quoted a rep for Dobrev, who said that the two are just friends. The unnamed source claimed that the two were only spotted together because they have common friends and because they belong to the same social group. The two actors did not give statements about their alleged romance.
