"The Leftovers" is coming back for another season and HBO says it is going to be its last, making it more important and exciting for its loyal fans. Executive producer Damon Lindelof hinted at how they are going to make it a memorable one.

Fans of the HBO fantasy thriller television show "The Leftovers' received some really good news shortly after season 2 ended: the network has picked it up for season 3. But their happiness was a bit limited as HBO president Michael Lombardo also told TVLine that the junior season will be the show's "definitive end."

But while that is understandably sad news, the fact is that viewers still have 10 pretty intense episodes to look forward to.

As Lombardo said in the same season 3 announcement, the fantasy thriller's ending will be "wildly ambiguous but hopefully mega-emotional" and executive producer Damon Lindelof said in separate interviews how they intend to achieve that series finale.

ScreenCrush reports that the showrunner admitted that the next season won't have as much dream sequences as the previous two. He says that now that Kevin Garvey, Jr. (Justin Theroux) has finally come to acknowledge the spiritual phenomenon that lead to the loss of the world's 2% population, the sleepwalking and "weird, off-butting dream sequences" won't be there anymore — or at least will be significantly reduced. He even coined it as sort of a "reward" for the character.

But Lindelof did hold off on spilling too much about what season 3 might offer. Not only because he wants to avoid spoilers but also because he does not want to be saying one thing now and then have the story make a different turn when it is already being written because his original plans were not panning out.

He did tell Inverse this, "If my read on your question is, 'Please don't make it too supernatural; I really like the balance you've struck so far' — if that is in fact what you're worried about, I would say to you, 'Don't worry. I hear you.'"

See how "The Leftovers" season 3 retains its balance between the supernatural and the mundane, as it rolls out on HBO. However, there is no exact release date at the moment. Stay tuned for updates.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
