'The Last Guardian' release date for PS4 set for 2016?

The Last Guardian has been in the works since 2007 by Japanese game developer Team ICO, and was originally intended to be launched for the PlayStation 3 game console back in 2011.

The new Last Guardian video game has been confirmed by Sony once again at the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 (E3 2015) press conference event, which took place this month in Los Angeles. The game was also revealed during the E3 2009 event.

The developers of the game decided to launch the new game for the PlayStation 4 instead, due to technical difficulties, according to reports. President of Sony's Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida said according to VG247, "Simply, we failed. We decided, no, we cannot make it (on the PS3 platform),"

"The trailer that we showed at E3 2009 was sped up. It was from the development system but we took it frame by frame and made it run smoothly." Yoshida added.

"Ueda-san, his style of development is very set out, clear, like a vision, at the beginning of the project. Because he is an artist, he creates a short video to show to the team members, this is what we make. So the vision is totally the same."

The upcoming game focuses on the main characters, a boy alongside a gigantic creature named Trico. As a third person perspective video game, a player will have control over the boy and can interact with Trico in order to solve puzzles.

Players will have the ability to perform different actions such as running, jumping, beating guards, including riding Trico. Players will also have to take care and guide Trico throughout the entire game.
