"The Flash" will soon bring fans a new face for the second season.

Newcomer Violett Beane now joins the group of superheroes as Jesse Quick, TVLine reported.

The actress does not have a long list of TV or movie appearances and has only done two films, Slash and Flay, which are set to release this year.

Based on the comics, Jesse Quick is described as the alternate personality of Jesse Chambers, DC's heroine who also possesses speed abilities.

Chambers is the daughter of Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle of The Golden Age. Chambers would soon assume her mother's name.

Her father taught her the formula to access speedy powers, but she also inherited her mother's powers.

Jesse Quick isn't the only new character set to appear in "The Flash" season 2.

According to ComicBook, Henry Hewitt will also join in the series and will be portrayed by Demore Barnes from "The Unit."

Hewitt, also known as Tokamak, is one of Firestorm's main enemies. The CW describes the character as an arrogant, yet charming scientist struck by explosion of the Particle Accelerator that made the Flash.

When he gets to join the S.T.A.R. Labs team through Caitlin Snow's help, Hewitt grabs the opportunity to become a "powerful meta-human."

Meanwhile, season 2 of "The Flash" will not pick up things from where it left off, according to TVInsider. The new season will reportedly fast forward to the future.

According to Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen, the show will start "about six months later," and will follow on "how the storm has affected everyone."

Gustin also revealed that the next season will surprise fans to a great extent, especially when it's about the changes seen in the world after Barry defeated the Reverse Flash.

"It's not as different as you'd think, but as we move forward, some things will blow fans' minds," Gustin said, according to the report from TVInsider.

New episodes of "The Flash" season 2 will arrive on Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. EST or 7 p.m. CST on The CW.
