Fans of the action-packed film "The Expendables" don't have to wait too long for the release date of another installment of the movie franchise.

"The Expendables 4" is currently in development and is slated for a 2017 release, but it appears there will be major changes in the movie's cast. Sylvester Stallone has been the highlight of the movie franchise, but all that can change, according to his "The Expendables" co-star, Terry Crews.

In a report from Slashfilm, Crews revealed his speculations about what happens to the movie after the big Oscars event. He told the publication in January at Fox's Television Critics Association party that he believes Stallone will win an Oscar for his role in "Creed."

While Crews is rooting for his co-star, he also thinks that he "might" sit the next movie out.

"He might, but whatever Sly says I'm doing. He's like my dad," Crews said. "He's literally my dad in the business. If Sly's like, 'I'm out of this thing,' I don't see myself doing it."

In relation to this, a report from Page Six stated that Stallone had let go of his longtime film partner, Kevin King Templeton. Templeton started out as the Oscar-nominee's assistant back in 1984 and was in-charge of running his company, Rogue Marble Production, for two decades.

Templeton produced "The Expendables" franchise, as well as other Stallone films, including "Creed" and "Rambo." Templeton's split with Stallone was considered "amicable" and part of the reason is the actor's age.

Page Six gathered from a spokeswoman that Stallone, 69, is gearing his focus toward a different movie genre.

"Now, as Sly has shifted away from the action genre to focus on more dramatic projects, he supports Kevin King in his efforts to continue his own work as a producer," the spokeswoman said.

With Stallone out of the picture, Hulk Hogan is being rumored to take his place.
