"The Elder Scrolls Online" finished on top of the list of best-selling games for Playstation 4 in June. The list is based on the North American Playstation Store, meaning the charts may indicate something different for other regions.

Interestingly, "The Elder Scrolls Online" beat out the much-hyped "Batman: Arkham Knight" for the top spot on the list. "Batman: Arkham Knight" was one of the most anticipated releases of the year, though the title finishing in second place may have more to do with the game being at  distinct disadvantage of only starting sales later in the month, according to Gamespot.

Finishing at the third spot was another big name entry: "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." It was followed closely by another major title: "Minecraft: Playstation 4 Edition." Rounding out the top five is "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition."

As for Playstation 3, "Minecraft" topped the list this time around, as the console's port of the popular game ended up with the most sales in June. Following closely at second is "Grand Theft Auto V," with "Battlefield 4" finishing third, "LEGO Jurassic Park" coming in at fourth and "Batman: Arkham City" rounding out the rest of the top five, according to Twinfinite.

The list of top-selling games for the PS Vita brings a more varied list of entries, with "Sword Art Online – Hollow Fragments" claiming the top spot. The rest of the top five is made up of "Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 1," followed by "Tales of Hearts R," "Monster Monpiece" and "Minecraft: Playstation Vita Edition."

Interestingly enough, topping the list of the best-selling Playstation Classics for the month of June is none other than "Final Fantasy 7." The game may have ultimately benefited from some residual fan excitement stemming from the news of the title being scheduled for a remake. The remake of the popular JRPG was announced last June.
