Fans need not worry about Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) and Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) relationship in the upcoming season of the CBS long-running series "The Big Bang Theory."

It appears that their highly anticipated wedding is still on, as Cuoco-Sweeting told Entertainment Tonight that "all dreams came true" for the two main characters in season 9. Last season, things went rocky for Penny and Leonard when the latter confessed that he kissed someone else earlier in their relationship.

Leonard apparently wanted no secrets going into their marriage, but the admission did not go well with his fiancée. Penny started doubting whether he was really committed to their relationship. It did not help that the show released a teaser showing the girl in question, hinting that she will be appearing in the upcoming installment. As it was, fans started worrying that the union may be postponed, or worse, cancelled.

The actress also said that the first few episodes in season 9 will reveal the couple's fate. She hinted that a lot of questions will be answered, and fans should tune in to find out.

"We've shot a couple episodes, and it has been aiming right out of the gate. I even think the next one we shot is funnier than the first one we shot. We're off to a great start," she said.

As for Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik), executive producer Steve Molaro said during the panel that the premiere episode will reveal whether Sheldon will be able to win Amy back or not.

During last season's finale, Amy told Sheldon that she wanted to "step back and re-evaluate" their relationship. What made it sadder for fans was that he apparently purchased an engagement ring for his girlfriend.

In a recent interview, Mayik said that even she was surprised with the turn of events between the two.

"We were all shocked. I think there was an audible gasp by most of the cast. That's a big ending. It means a lot for the relationship, but also for the show in general," said Mayik.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 will premiere on Sept. 21 on CBS.
