Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) will find that their love has serious consequences in the upcoming episode of Showtime's drama series "The Affair."

In episode 3, TV Guide reports that the outcome of the illicit relationship between the two is slowly heading towards destruction. Noah's fixation over Alison is proving to be shattering both for him and her. Last episode, he demonstrated how controlling he could be by forbidding Alison from taking the job as personal assistant for Robert (Peter Friedman) and Yvonne (Joanna Gleason).

Noah felt that Alison should not work under the couple, as he was their guest. He was also a grouch when he asked her when they could get her share in the house. Noah said they could use the money, and it was a pain that they had to wait a long time for the sale of her former home with Cole (Joshua Jackson).

Meanwhile, Alison will discover a nugget of wisdom on how to sustain a marriage. Will this lead her to reflect on what went wrong between her and Cole? Last episode was a wrench, as her husband finally acknowledged the truth that she was not coming back home, ever. Cole was devastated after hearing what he expected all along.

When he turned to leave, Alison ran after him and hugged him. She told Cole to keep in touch. While obviously tearing inside, he managed to hug her back and wish her well. Fast tracked into the future, and viewers saw Cole finally returning into life. Well-dressed and cleaned up, he entered the courthouse where he found Alison with a baby.

The kid was his wife's and Noah's. Together, they heard the charges against Noah and watched him taken away in handcuffs. The last viewers saw of Alison's lover was his terrified face.

"The Affair" season 2 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on Showtime.
