'Tekken 7' update: Rage Attack system showcased in new trailer

Fans itching to get their hands on "Tekken 7" now have something new to tide them over as they wait for the fighting game to be released for consoles.

Recently, Bandai Namco released a new trailer showcasing the new Rage Attack system that is being brought into "Tekken 7" via the "Fated Retribution" update.

The trailer begins with Nina showing off her own unique Rage Attack, before transitioning over into a display of Heihachi's furious blows.

The trailer, which lasts four and half minutes, showcases all of the different Rage Attacks that the "Tekken 7" characters will have at their disposal. By utilizing Rage Attacks, players will be able to unleash a devastating array of attacks in quick succession.

Still, "Tekken 7" players may not want to always be in a position to launch Rage Attacks since the mechanic can only be triggered once a character's health is already running low. If executed properly, a Rage Attack may be able to help a player get back into a match just when it seems that they are already at the doorstep of defeat.

Prior to launching a Rage Attack, players can observe that their characters will be enveloped by a red aura that dissipates after they have managed to land their combos.

All of the characters inside "Tekken 7" will be able to pull off a Rage Attack once the prerequisite has been met.

Fans looking forward to trying out "Tekken 7" for themselves may have to wait a while. Currently, the fighting game is only playable in arcades across Japan, although that could be changing soon.

As of now, "Tekken 7" is expected to make its console debut sometime during 2016, although the exact date remains unknown, according to N4BB. "Tekken 7" will be made available to both PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One upon being released.

More news about "Tekken 7" should be made available later on in the year.
