Actor Dylan O'Brien was seriously injured a few months back during production of the film "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" and it was because of these injuries that speculations arose indicating his character Stiles Stilinski might be killed off. Speaking to Creative132, series creator Jeff Davis officially debunked the news.

"We aren't replacing Stiles," explained Davis. "Dylan O'Brien will be back to film soon. he can't do any stunts and we're talking with Wes Ball, the producer of 'The Maze Runner,' we hope to get him back on 'Teen Wolf' to film, while being injured, but the thing is, he wants to film, he's in perfect condition. But he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts."

Davis also confirmed that the rumors of Harry Styles of the band One Direction taking over O'Brien's role are completely fake. However, he did confirm that he and the studios are interested in casting Styles or someone similar in order to get a British character into the series. As of the time being, however, Styles is not on the show.

The response does confirm that the studios will require someone else to do the stunts that O'Brien will not be capable of performing, and the Sande Alessi Casting firm has put out a casting call on their Facebook page aiming to recruit a young male actor who can serve as a photo double for O'Brien.

It is likely O'Brien will shoot his scenes as before but with a new double to perform stunts or for the rumored flashback scenes that take place during the episodes. It is undetermined if this will be done for the whole season or until O'Brien is fit to fully film all his scenes and stunts.

"Teen Wolf" season 6 has yet to announce an official release date but it is expected to premiere by September or October this year.
