Super Smash Bros. 4 Nintendo

Super Smash Bros 4 will be released later this year, with the Nintendo 3DS version set for release in the summer and the Wii U version in Q4.

Earlier this month, Nintendo posted a 40-minute video to Youtube, describing the upcoming game. Masahiro Sakurai, the director of Super Smash Bros., took viewers on a tour of the highly anticipated game. The team at Bandai Namco Studios in Japan is currently busy developing the Wii U and 3DS versions for fans.

Sakurai first starts off by stating the release dates for the 3DS and Wii U. The 3DS is set for Summer 2014, and the Wii U for Winter 2014. "These titles are packed with content, so we need the time to do them justice," he states.

Many new characters will be introduced in the upcoming Super Smash Bros 4, including Greninja from Pokemon X and Y. A leaked image also showed new character Chrom, along with Captain Falcon, Falco, Ganondorf, Ice Climbers, Jigglypuff, MetaKnight, Mr. Game & Watch and Ness.

Other leaked characters, which have not been confirmed by Nintendo, are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, the Villager, King Dedede, Lucario, Little Mac, Diddy Kong, Zero Suit Samus, Greninja, Charizard, Shiek, and Yoshi.

The 3DS version will have a special exclusive Balloon Fight where the stage "loops on the left and right sides so you can walk off one side and appear on the other."
