Kirsten (Emma Ishta) and the entire team will be called to investigate a new crime involving the death of a popular psychic in the upcoming episode of ABC's science fiction crime drama "Stitchers."

In "Future Tense," TV Guide reports that the squad will take on the challenging tasks of unraveling the medium's secrets to find out who can possibly kill her. Meanwhile, Camille (Allison Scagliotti) will finally abide with Linus' (Ritesh Rajan) request to meet his parents, even though she is not enthusiastic about it.

Last episode, the gang was placed under quarantine after getting exposed to a deadly virus, which a disease researcher was studying before her untimely death. The doctor apparently injected herself with a high-potency mutated strain of Spanish flu to test if the serum she had been perfecting was working.

She thought she was close to creating a cure, but at the last minute it did not work. The lab computer also could not identify what went wrong, as her formula appeared to be right. With time running out, the team was preparing to say final goodbyes.

Amidst all the farewells, Kirsten had a rare chat with Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield). The program leader showed her a picture of her mother and Ed (Hugo Armstrong), Kirsten's non-biological father. Maggie told her that it was her mother who was one of the original designers of the Stitchers, and not Ed. It was only when she died that Ed took credit for her work. She also said that Kirsten's father cared very deeply about her.

Eventually, Kirsten and Cameron (Kyle Harris) figured out that heat would make the serum work. They remembered that the doctor had the thermostat in her apartment turned up to the maximum before her death. The cold environment in the lab had brought the virus inside the doctor back to life and turning the heat high enough would kill it.

They managed to get the serum into all those affected just in time, and everyone got the all-clear to leave. Maggie ended up giving them the rest of the day off after the harrowing experience.

"Stitchers" airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
