Even more iconic characters have just been added to "Star Wars Battlefront."
First off is none other than arguably the most popular heroine in the "Star Wars" franchise — Princess Leia.
According to a post on the PlayStation Blog by "Star Wars Battlefront" lead hero designer Jamie Keen, creating Leia for the game proved to be more difficult simply because she did not present an immediately recognizable fighting style that could translate well. Since this was the case for her, the creators instead decided to turn her into mainly a support character. Princess Leia will be capable of providing buffs for her teammates, although she can still pack quite the punch when she has to.
Another new hero coming to "Star Wars Battlefront" is Han Solo. According to Polygon, Han Solo will retain the same gunslinger qualities that he showed off in the movies. More specifically, Han Solo has been designed to operate well even without the help of his other teammates, and he does so through his impressive firepower.
Han Solo also has three different abilities that could make him an even more appealing option to players. His rapid fire ability allows him to get off shots in quick succession, while his lucky shot ability enables him to land a hard hit. His last ability, the shoulder charge, will be a skill that players can utilize for both offensive and defensive purposes.
Last of the new characters added to the game is the sinister Emperor Palpatine.
The emperor is in essence the primary support character for the villains inside the game, although that does not mean that he cannot show off impressive skills himself.
His lightning attacks in particular can be truly devastating, and he complements that with his force dash ability that allows him to move at incredible speeds.
"Star Wars Battlefront" will be released on Nov. 17.
