'Star Wars Battlefront' update: buffs to be granted to specific weapons

"Star Wars Battlefront's" February may feature a fair share of the game's weapons getting new buffs.

In a post on the game's official forums, community manager "Sledgehammer 70" hinted at some of the changes that may be included in the February update.

According to "Sledgehammer 70," the effects of last month's update have, apparently, led to some weapons ending up weaker than they were intended to be.

The game's developers may be changing that via the next update.

The community manager also named the Bowcaster and Homing Shot as specific weapons that may be affected by the February update.

"Sledgehammer 70" also indicated that even though the changes may be considered as buffs, their purpose is still to make sure that the weapons are just simply working as intended.

Other aspects of the game that may be affected by the next update also include barrage damage and DLT19 adjustments, although there are also other changes expected to be made.

More details about the game's February update should be made available soon.

In related news, the game's developers have also announced the details of the new community mission for "Star Wars Battlefront" players.

This time around, players are being asked to tally a total of 102,187 hours of gameplay using Princess Leia across any game mode that she is available in, according to the game's official website.

Should the members of the community succeed in reaching the total, they will be able to unlock a new character skin for her known as the Princess Leia Endor costume.

The timeline for completing the Princess Leia community mission has already started, and players can continue to rack up the hours all the way up to Feb. 22.

Previously, players were rewarded with a double experience weekend for completing the second community mission given in "Star Wars Battlefront."
