The TV show rendition of the well-known sci-fi saga "Star Trek" is going to make a comeback next year on Netflix 50-years after its initial release, and its fans are getting hyped over the upcoming series.

"Star Trek: Discovery" will be making its highly-awaited comeback in May 2017 on Netflix and on CBS networks web streaming service — also called CBS All Access — and with it will come 13 sci-fi filled episodes instead of the usual 10.

"Star Trek: Discovery" is all set for its gigantic comeback after the original "Star Trek" TV show first debuted on TV screens in 1966.

"Star Trek: Discovery" will take viewers back in space onboard the Discovery ship. The ship was named after the Discovery air ship that went on the Space Odyssey back in 2001. The show will be set in the Prime universe that is set 10 years earlier that the debut of the initial "Star Trek" show via the Enterprise space ship.

Furthermore, rumored plots suggest that the crew of the USS Discovery will not be the only crew present in "Star Trek: Discovery." A new crew completely comprised of Klingons will enter the "Star Trek: Discovery" show.

The Klingon crew will have a new Klingon captain. However, the new Klingon captain's true motives is still unknown, which is why there are still speculations suggesting that the tension between the Klingons and Humans might still be present throughout the show. "Star Trek: Discovery" will be set during the times when the relations between Humans and Klingons were very much at odds.

As of now, there is still no official news regarding the full cast of the show, as well as the plot of the much-awaited "Star Trek" series, but fans will get to know more about "Star Trek: Discovery" soon when it airs next year on May 2017.
