Production on "Spider-Man: Homecoming," the brand new film that reboots the franchise now that the character is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has begun casting for its extras. As stated in a report from Comic Book, the studios are particularly looking for young teenagers to populate the film's high school setting.

According to the report, Tammy Smith Casting has placed a casting call out in Atlanta, Georgia for a film code-named "The Summer of George." This is the code name currently placed for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and the casting call is specifically looking for high school students aged 15 to 17. These extras will populate the school that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) attends.

The casting call is also looking for both men and women aged 18 to 25 who still look like they are high school students, hinting that these may be the actors that will have more substantial screen time given that they will be of legal age to sign a more complex contract with the studios.

It is also pointed out that the studios are looking for Asian and East Indian extras to add diversity to the school's population of students. They are also looking for students of all types, including those who dress conservatively and those who sport a unique look.

At the very bottom the casting call notes that there will be other positions posted at a later time. This may refer to the studios looking to hire extras as teachers, parents, and school staff.

As stated in a report from Screen Rant, this opportunity almost never came to pass as Marvel threatened to pull out of Georgia as the state was pushing to pass a bill that would legalize anti-gay discrimination. The governor of Georgia vetoed the bill, guaranteeing that many film and television studios, such as AMC and Marvel, would remain open for business.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
