Sony has just recently revealed its latest lineup of smartphones for 2015 with the Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact, and the Xperia Z5 Premium.

The three new models were announced during Sony's pre-launch event in Berlin last Wednesday, and the company spent most of their time at the event talking up the virtues of the Xperia Z5 and its Compact variant. Although Sony opted to tout the other two variants of the Xperia Z5 more, the mobile industry chose to turn their attention to the one model the company did not spend that much time talking about at all, which was the Premium, according to NDTV.

Although news about any new smartphone release typically garners headlines anyway, the Xperia Z5 Premium is different because of a new feature it brings to the table that has previously not been seen among other models, and that is its 4K display.

The capabilities of the Xperia Z5 Premium's display clearly distinguish it from the rest of the pack, but the question that begs to be asked is whether the stellar specs actually amount to a noticeable difference.

According to Forbes, the difference between the display of the Xperia Z5 Premium and the standard Z5 model was hardly noticeable, if any at all; though Sony has begged to differ on this front. Still, even if the difference may not be apparent upon first glance, the phone still manages to show off a stunning display.

As for the other features of Xperia Z5 Premium that are worth talking about, one of its calling cards will reportedly be its superb battery life. The Premium's battery should reportedly last for about two days easily, and this has been made possible by the usage of a stronger battery.

The Xperia Z5 Premium is also designed to be fully water and dust resistant, enabling it to withstand the rigors of everyday use.
