"Sleepy Hollow" is coming back on air for season 4, wherein Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) will go to a new city and meet his new partner.

Fans were left devastated with "Sleepy Hollow's" season 3 finale when Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) saved humanity by killing herself in order to defeat the Hidden One.

"Sleepy Hollow's" season 3 finale left fans outraged, even triggering rumors of a season 4 boycott because of the character's death. However, despite fans' disappointment, "Sleepy Hollow" is said to return next 2017 with a new partner ready for Crane.

"Sleepy Hollow's" fourth installment will come with a new setting and storyline where Crane will be heading a secret organization against the supernatural based in Washington D.C., an organization initially lead by George Washington himself.

Going along with Crane in Washington D.C. is his new partner, single mom and ex-military officer Diana, to be played by former "True Blood" star Janina Gavankar.

Even though Crane is offered a new partner, both characters are said to get off to a rough start, especially since Diana comes from a military background that makes her systematic style differ from Crane's. What's more is that Diana does not believe in the supernatural, making her partnership with Crane more difficult to start with.

Despite their differences, the two will soon get in good terms when they discover that they have something in common, which is the loss of a former partner.

Aside from "True Blood" star Gavankar, a new young face will also be introduced in the fourth installment of "Sleepy Hollow" — Diana's 10-year-old daughter Molly Thomas (Oona Yaffe), who is the only person who is able to get through Diana's rough personality.

As of now, there is still no specific date on when the premiere of "Sleepy Hollow" season 4 will air, but fans can expect to see the supernatural series back in early 2017.
