This September, TV networks are ready to showcase their new shows with their curious mix of genres and storylines.
"Blindspot" will air on NBC on Sept. 21, and will start off its premiere with a woman found naked in the middle of Times Square. What's interesting is that she is covered in tattoo that will uncover a large-scale criminal conspiracy. Sullivan Stapleton, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Ashley Johnson stars in this riveting crime drama.
On the same day, Fox will air "Minority Report." The series picks up 11 years after the 2002 Steven Spielberg film of the same title, and will follow the exploits of one of the precogs Dash (Stark Stands), and his efforts to find his twin. On his journey, he will end up helping Detective Lara Vega (Maegan Good) in solving crimes before they happen.
Also airing on Sept. 21 is "Life in Pieces" (CBS), a story about a family with different family members with separate stories. The series will star Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Colin Hanks, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt, and Zoe Lister Jones.
"Limitless" from CBS will be airing the following day, Sept. 22. This is another film-based series of the same title (2011) that tells the story of Brian Sinclair (Jake McDorman) who uses his drug-induced abilities to solve cases for the FBI. His discovery of the drug NZT becomes a blessing and a curse. The show stars Jennifer Carpenter, Hill Harperand, and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
The last but not the least is "Code Black." This medical drama is in an entirely different but interesting setting compared to other medical-related shows before it – the ER. The staff works round the clock dealing with the pressure and stress of limited resources and much more limited time to save lives. The series is based on a documentary, adding a more authentic flavor into it. The show kicks off on Sept. 30, and it stars Marcia Gray Harden, Bonnie Somerville, Raza Jaffrey, and Luiz Guzman.
