'Sense8' season 2 spoilers, release date: Sikander Kher may be the new villain

 Netflix

"Sense8" season 1 primarily dealt with the eight main characters coming to terms with the fact that they were now all connected and had to help each other to survive and take down the main villain, Whispers (Terrence Mann). According to a report from Gulf News, it is possible that in season 2 they will be dealing with a brand new enemy, reportedly to be played by Bollywood star Sikander Kher.

The main eight only got to physically meet in person by the season 1 finale but now in season 2, it is speculated that they'll be going their separate ways but now in pairings or that they might just all stick together as a single team. No matter what they do, they will be haunted by a new villain that the Bollywood star may be portraying.

"It's a small but an important role, and it takes the story ahead. The first season of the show was a massive hit, and I hope season 2 also gets the same appreciation by the audience as season 1 did," explained Kher. Although he did not confirm he is indeed playing the villain fans have taken his statement as a sign that he is.

Fans speculate that Kher's character might not be seen until the final few episodes, hinting why he might only be in front of the cameras for a short time during production, but the role will have a big impact on the season's story and characters.

Vine Report also reveals that a popular theory about season 2 is that it will explore the love triangle of Kala (Tina Desai), Wolfgang (Max Riemelt) and Rajan (Purab Kohli). Kala was initially set to marry Rajan but gave this up when she decided to run away with Wolfgang, only to find out he denied her and stated he did not deserve her love.

No official premiere date has been announced although Ecumenical News points out it is likely to release by early 2017.
