San Antonio Spurs veteran big man Tim Duncan scored an unusual feat last Saturday in his 19-year career, as for the first time in a game he has not scored a point in their 121–103 home victory over the Houston Rockets.

Duncan started the game and played for 14 minutes, tallying only four rebounds and two assists, going 0-of-3 in his field-goal attempts.

According to ESPN, Saturday's scoreless performance ended a streak of 1,359 consecutive games in which Duncan was not able to score even just a single point.

In the report, the 39-year-old's teammates veteran guard Manu Ginobili, All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge, and shooter Danny Green expressed their thoughts on the veteran's scoreless night.

"I just heard. It's very unusual, of course, but he didn't play much. He hadn't played in a week. If he's playing until he's 48, I guess he's gonna have that a couple more times," Ginobili said.

Meanwhile, Aldridge said he was unaware about what happened and Green did not expect it.

"I didn't realize that. It's gonna happen. It's rare. At his age, you expect that, but not from Timmy," Green said.

Duncan is averaging 8.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, three assists, and 1.4 rejections in 26.2 minutes of action per game.

It is not the only unusual feat Duncan recorded this season, as in a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans back in November, he was unable to grab a rebound, another first in his illustrious career.

Despite Duncan not tallying a point, the Spurs managed to win over Houston and remained unbeaten at the AT&T Center this season, now with a 20–0 home record (a franchise-record).

San Antonio is the second best team in the Western Conference and the National Basketball Association with a 29–6 record.

Duncan can pick up his scoring when the Spurs play a road game today, Monday, taking on the young Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
