All the rumors regarding Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo leaving were shut down by the forward himself during the Marca Awards, where he received the Pichichi Trophy for leading La Liga in scoring (48 goals).
Recently, Ronaldo was linked to a move that sends him back to his former club Manchester United, with Paris Saint-Germain also being involved in rumors.
But in the Marca Awards, Ronaldo quashed all of the transfer talks, saying "I want to stay here for two more years, and then we'll see about the future. That's the contract that I've got.
"Now what I have to do is try to win trophies and the Champions League once again," the 31-year-old franchise star added.
Along with expressing his plans of staying, Ronaldo also discussed his stint with Los Blancos and his playing career at Old Trafford.
"I've spent seven years in Spain and for me La Liga is the best in the world," Ronaldo exclaimed.
He also said, "I also spent six years in England, in Manchester, and this league is wonderful, very competitive, with great players and, for me, it's a privilege to be here and to leave my mark, which has been very good."
However, there is a possibility of Ronaldo leaving to join United, or another club once his contract with Real is over.
Ronaldo will be 33 years old if he decides to leave Bernabéu when his pact ends, but he is still in great shape and United would likely love to have their old forward back.
As of now, Ronaldo stays with Los Blancos and aims to help the club in future competitions, doing this until he has the chance to freely choose where he would play next.
