Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is confident in backup quarterback Michael Vick starting in place of Ben Roethlisberger who is expected to be out for 4-6 weeks due to a sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) and a bruised bone.

The Steelers are on a two-game winning streak defeating the San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams after dropping their season opener versus the New England Patriots.

In their most recent win over the Rams, Roethlisberger suffered the injury in the third quarter after getting sacked.

Now without the 33-year-old Roethlisberger, another veteran in Vick will be stepping up for the Steelers.

Vick is playing his first year for the Steelers and already made two appearances having five completions for 38 yards.

The 35-year-old quarterback will be starting his first game in a Steelers uniform this Thursday hosting the Baltimore Ravens for their Week 4 matchup.

According to ESPN, Tomlin is confident with Vick and believes he still has a lot left in him.

Tomlin is also not worried about their temporary starter's preparation ahead of their game against Baltimore saying, "This isn't his first rodeo."

The Steelers head coach also said, "We're going to work in his comfort zone and bring the game to him and put us in position to win football games."

Vick is coming off a lackluster season with the New York Jets who decided not to keep him after the 2014 season.

Last season, the four-time Pro Bowler had 64 completions for 604 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in 10 regular season games played.

Vick said about the opportunity to start for the Steelers, according to ESPN, "I won't put it all on my shoulders."

"I'll take sole responsibility of everything that happens, but I'm just going to prepare myself and get myself in the position to help this football team," he added.
