Philadelphia Eagles news 2015: DeMarco Murray not focusing on reduced role this 2015 season

This season is very different from the previous one for running back DeMarco Murray, who is struggling with his carries but would not want to focus on it and is trying to see things positively.

In the 2014 season playing his last year with the Dallas Cowboys, Murray led the National Football League (NFL) as he rushed for 1,845 yards.

Last March, Murray decided to leave the Cowboys even if they were the National Football Conference (NFC) East champions and agreed to a five-year deal with Philadelphia.

But as the 2015 season began and continued to roll, Murray struggled with his production and in their last game which was a 40–17 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, only had two carries for three yards.

Despite the setbacks, the 27-year-old running back is trying to look at things from a different perspective and said, according to Philly.com, "At the end of the day, you've got a position to make the playoffs, and that's what a lot of people's focus is on. I can't worry about how many plays I'm getting and things of that nature.

"I can only control what I can control, and whenever I get in, I just have to make the best of it. I can't worry about it," he added.

The Eagles are at 6–8 in the NFC East for the second spot, tied with the New York Giants who also have the same record.

Instead of thinking about the decline in his numbers and performance, Murray is being thankful for the opportunity to play in the NFL, his health, wife, daughter, and upcoming son.

Although he shared his thoughts on what is happening and said, according to ESPN, "I've never dealt with anything like this in my life. That's frustrating more than anything. I guess this is how it is. I don't know."

In 13 regular season games played this season, Murray has only 176 carries for 606 yards and four touchdowns. These numbers are very far from his numbers last season when he had career-bests 392 carries for 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns.
