'Orange Is the New Black' season 4 spoilers: No reconciliation for Sophia and Gloria any time soon

The vendetta between Sophia and Gloria continues in the upcoming season of "The Orange is the New Black." Netflix

Sophia (Laverne Cox) and Gloria's (Selenis Leyva) feud will still continue in the upcoming season of Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black."

TV Guide reports that there is no possibility of reconciliation between the two characters when the comedy-drama series returns for season 4. Cox said in the interview that there is no hope that Sophia and Gloria would patch things up, as things become "really, really bad" for them.

"I can't imagine. As a viewer watching, seeing how much remorse Gloria has, I always like to believe there's a potential for forgiveness, but it's pretty bad," said Cox.

Leyva, however, took a more positive outlook regarding the relationship between the inmates. Although she admitted to not knowing what was coming yet, the actress said that no matter how much Sophia and Gloria fought, they are both essentially good people.

"The audience got to see that these women are having conflict. And it's not about a personal attack on each other. It's more about their children, and how they're desperately trying to hold onto some kind of control," Leyva said.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Alex (Laura Prepon) is alive and would be coming back in the upcoming season. The inmate was last seen cleaning up a shed in Litchfield, while an assassin pretending to be a security guard tried to kill her. The episode was left hanging, but it appeared to viewers that Alex had no way of getting out of that incident alive.

Prepon told TV Guide that her character is back and very pissed. She said that Alex would emerge as a tougher person after her near-death experience. As she returned to Litchfield, Alex would be spending every moment watching her back and preparing to strike first against any threat in her life. Prepon revealed that Alex's paranoia "empowers" her.

The actress cautioned the fans that they would not be seeing Alex's timid side for a long time. However, if there's one person that she would have an amiable relationship with, it would be with Piper (Taylor Schilling). She said that the two got each other's back, and the connection between them would always be there.

"Orange is the New Black" will return for season 4 in June 2016 on Netflix.
