'One Punch Man' season 2 spoilers, news: Saitama meets his match; New season could be delayed

Saitama in "One Punch Man" Viz Media

The enemies that Saitama will face in "One Punch Man" season 2 will finally challenge his strength, according to the latest reports.

It is rumored that the hero for fun will finally meet the strongest foe he has ever faced and that is Garou, who seems to be the only only one that can actually survive Saitama's punch.

The hero has always longed for an opponent that can actually last in a battle, and if the rumors are to be believed, his long-waited match will arrive in "One Punch Man" season 2.

Garou uses his incredible amount of strength to do evil, like majority of the foes Saitama faced in the past. What makes him different is that he can actually put up a great fight, a prospect that will excite the bald hero rather than worry.

Interestingly, there are rumors that Saitama's powers will vanish as he takes on villains like Amai Mask and Boros in "One Punch Man" season 2, which will lead to Saitama's first defeat.

However, it looks like it will be a while before "One Punch Man" season 2 arrives. This is because there is not enough material available to be brought to the small screen.

All seven volumes of the popular manga by One and Yusuke Murata have been covered by the first season. The pacing is quick as one episode featured three to five chapters of the manga.

That being said, Madhouse Entertainment will have to wait for new story arcs to cover for "One Punch Man" season 2. Fans are looking at at least one to two years of waiting as it takes four months for one volume to be completed and put out.

That being said, Saitama won't be in the small screen for a while. Either way, the anime's return will be big as more powerful villains arrive to challenge the strongest hero.

"One Punch Man" season 2 has no release date yet.
