Kansas City captured Game 1 (5–4) and Game 2 (7–1), which were both played in the club's home field at Kauffman Stadium.

Now, the Royals will try to close the series in the next three games which will be held at Citi Field.

In Game 2 of the World Series, Royals manager Ned Yost made the right decision of having Johnny Cueto as their starting pitcher.

Cueto may have experienced struggles playing on the road but at Kauffman Stadium, he is hard to stop.

The 29-year-old athlete pitched in nine innings, having four strikeouts and only allowing three walks, outperforming the Mets' Game 2 starting pitcher Jacob deGrom who was given a hard time by the Royals' hitters.

New York was first on the scoreboard in Game 2 when first baseman Lucas Duda hit a single to score second baseman Daniel Murphy for a 1–0 lead in the fourth inning.

But that will be the last for the Mets as the Royals went on a run to take the lead and never looked back.

Kansas City shortstop Alcides Escobar started the scoring barrage with a single in the fifth inning to help left fielder Alex Gordon score for a 1–1 tie.

The Royals took a 3-1 lead still in the fifth inning when first baseman Eric Hosmer hit a single which allowed right fielder Alex Rios and Escobar to score.

Hosmer then was the one who scored when they took a 4–1 lead following a single from third baseman Mike Moustakas.

Kansas City sealed the Game 2 victory when they scored three more times in the eighth inning.

Game 3 of the MLB 2015 World Series between the Royals and Mets will take place in Citi Field in New York this Friday, Oct. 30, at 8:07 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream click here.
