The Philadelphia Eagles will look to win their second consecutive when they host the streaking New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field for National Football League's (NFL) Monday Night Football.
In their last game which was a 39–17 victory over the New Orleans Saints, the Eagles were led by quarterback Sam Bradford who performed well against his counterpart Drew Brees.
Bradford had 32 completions in a total 45 passes thrown for 333 yards, with two touchdowns and only one interception.
Last season's leading rusher, running back DeMarco Murray, also had a great game having 20 carries for 83 yards and one touchdown.
Murray, who signed from the Dallas Cowboys in the offseason, is struggling with the Eagles and said earlier this month that he is not getting enough touches.
In four games played this season, the 24-year-old running back scored 49 carries for only 130 yards and two touchdowns. Such is still far from his performance last season when he led the NFL rushing for 1,845 yards in 16 regular season games for the Cowboys.
The Eagles are searching for consistency this season and are looking to establish their first winning streak of 2015 in their upcoming game against the Giants.
But Philadelphia is facing a tall task as the Giants won in their past three games after opening the season, with two consecutive losses.
After defeats from the Dallas Cowboys and the Atlanta Falcons, the Giants came back in a major way, winning over the Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills, and the San Francisco 49ers.
Franchise quarterback Eli Manning again starred for New York in their 30–27 triumph over San Francisco. Manning completed 41-of-54 passes for 441 yards and three touchdowns, only throwing one interception.
The Giants signed the 34-year-old quarterback to a four-year extension deal worth $84 million a few days before the 2015 season began. As of his recent performances, it seems like the team is getting its money's worth.
Philadelphia's game against the Giants will take place today, Oct. 19, at 8:30 p.m. EST.
